Overview

Led by elite trainer and former professional basketball player Dennis Clifford, the BSG Prep Mind & Body Fitness program is a 13 week initiative specifically designed to enhance the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of high school athletes. By integrating fitness training, mindfulness techniques, nutritional guidance, and injury prevention strategies, the program aims to empower young athletes to excel both in sports and in life, fostering long-term health and success.

Components

Strength & Conditioning:

  • Customized workout plans targeting strength, endurance, agility, and flexibility.

  • Incorporation of sport-specific exercises to improve athletic skills and prevent injuries.

 

Mindfulness Training:

  • Techniques to cultivate mental toughness, focus, and confidence in high-pressure situations.

  • Mindfulness and relaxation exercises to manage stress, anxiety, and enhance concentration.

  • Presentations on goal-setting, visualization, and positive self-talk to foster a resilient mindset.

 

Nutritional Guidance:

  • Individualized nutrition plans tailored to meet the unique dietary needs and performance goals of young athletes.

  • Education on proper nutrition, hydration, and supplementation to support peak physical performance and recovery.

 

Recovery and Injury Prevention:

  • Strategies for effective recovery, including rest, sleep optimization, and recovery modalities such as foam rolling and stretching.

  • Injury prevention protocols and education on recognizing early signs of injury.
